    Everlast Poweri-MIG 140E MIG Welder?

Saw these on Amazon and they appear to have some advantages like higher duty cycle and better capacity over some other well known brands. Some reviewers claim that parts can only be obtained from the OEM. Anyone have any thoughts on these? Chet

Anyone know of any affordable Ford PATS Key programming software for programming "Chipped" Ford keys? I just had to pay $65 to have a key made for my Lincoln. Would be cool if it could integrate with existing OBD II programs. Thanks, Chet

Replacement receiver tank for Craftsman Model 919152920

Picked up a "throw-away" oil less Craftsman Model 919152920 for $ zero dollars and the P.O. says it has a tank leak. Replacement tanks (Part #: TA-4272) are no longer available from Sears. Have not tested or even fired it up yet, but assuming the worse (bad tank) what are some suggestions or...

    Best low profile toolbox/bag?

So I need to find something for a "road toolbox" that will fit better under the back bench seat of my 95 Ford F150 extended cab. I currently have a cheap, long plastic box which is about 5 inches high that barely fits under it + I also tried one of those canvas tool bags with the zipper. Im...

    Tools and Fire damage

So my Uncle's garage burned down a few days ago along with his ATVs and thousands of dollars worth of tools. I'm assuming his home owners insurance will cover much of the expense of replacing his stuff, but I was just wondering what if anything (Hand wrenches?) would survive a structural fire?

Doing a repair/restoration on my Wilton model 746 vice and it currently has the "hammered metal" light blue paint that was its original color. Would like to find as close a match as possible and was looking for some ideas Regards, Chet

HF Grinder Pedestal + Craftsman 8" grinder

So I was all excited to mount the brand new Craftsman 8" variable speed grinder to my brand new HF grinder pedestal (which seams like a sturdy unit despite it's bad reviews) and to my dismay the holes in the base of the Craftsman grinder are spaced too far apart to fit the slots in the HF...

Tool chests - Mix HF 18 in. 7 Drawer End Cabinet with Hammerhead 41" roller

So I have the 41" Wide 19 Drawer Combo 304 Stainless Steel Rolling Tool Chest Professional Series - Top and Bottom Units (Wish I went bigger) and I was toying with the idea of adding the HF 18 in. 7 Drawer Glossy Red End Cabinet For Roller Tool Chest It looks like the HF end cabinet is supposed...

Team Mechanix 2.5 suv floor jack #410542 parts and repair

So I found this cheap floor jack on the side of the road, it's missing the handle, the small lifting(pressure?) cylinder appears to be frozen and I could just sell it for scrap, but the fixer-upper in me just won't let go of it. I know there's a good sticky on the forum for hydraulic jack...

Astro Pneumatic Mig110 Powermig Mig Welder - hose adapter fitting

So I got one of these little gems years ago and have never been able to test it with Gas because I don't have an adapter to connect the gas line to my standard size Argon-CO2 tank (Yes I think it will run Flux Core wire as well) The owners manual shows something called a "Flow-meter"? that is...

Help Identify and fix Wilton vice

So I have what I think is a Wilton Machinist vice and the stationary jaw has a number 111073 stamped on it and the moving jaw has 111074 with a #2 directly above the 7 Not sure if this helps identify it, but the Spindle and Handle Assembly no longer stay connected to the front jaw as there...

"Dead battery"Milwaukee 18volt nicad runs slow

So I picked up an 18 volt Nicad cordless Milwaukee hammer drill 0524-20 at a garage sale for cheap which of coarse had dead batteries. So being reckless (and cheap) I "zapped" the dead 18 volt nicads with my 200 am booster/charger a few times for about 20 seconds. Low and behold the...

Toro Personal Pace self propelled mower drive wheels slip

So I "inherited" one of these little gems from a friend (would never buy a gimmick like this). I started it up and did a few laps with it in the yard. It has this "slide type" mechanism built into the handle that you push your body weight into to make the drives wheels engage and it actually...

    Craftsman Dump Cart door mod?

So I have this nice older 14 yard Craftsman metal dump cart that I restored and it has the door that swings up as it would on a dump truck instead of open downward like the tailgate on a pickup truck. I find the flip up dump style door to be less than useful and actually limits me from loading...
