    socket size stickers

I'm having trouble using seeing the sizes on my sockets. I saw an advert about size stickers that are durable and won't come off that easily. I saw Advance also seems to carry them. Anyone try them? Do they actually last at all?

I need some air tool advice

I have IR 5hp compressor that puts out 18. cfm at 90 psi. I need to do some work that requires a cut off wheel to cut auto sheet metal, an air chisel and a reciprocating saw. I'm looking at the CP Model# CP7900 reciprocating saw. A cut off wheel there seem to be a million....I would guess any...

    Essential air tools??

That's why I want to use air tools. They're about half the size than electric tools. They also seem to be more consistent and chatter less.

    Essential air tools??

I got a brand new Ingersoll-Rand 5HP 18.1 cfm compressor. Before this, all I had was a low end HF. The difference is astounding. I plan to cut the front end off my Morris Mini and replace it with a one piece flip up front end kit. I'll be trimming and cutting sheet metal, drill some holes...

    Deep end, about to leap

Now that would be hysterical. You have a bidet and next to it on a shelf you glue down three seashells. You have to glue them down lest someone actually try to use them. And forget about that revoked man card. I have worked on a Citroen....you not only have to be a decent mechanic but a plumber...

    Deep end, about to leap

You must be missing the actual comedy potential of a bidet. Ever flush the toilet on your wife when she's in the shower? Now imagine flushing it when she's making use of a bidet. You almost need a sedative to stop laughing. Of course, falling asleep over the next few days could mean putting...

No, but it's great to water the dog with.

Uhm...it may be French and it may not be what we would call, uhm, manly but don't knock it till you tried it...

    Deep end, about to leap

Well, not everything turns out as plans. Most all I said was to be taken facetiously...but don't you just want to be able to escape for a while? Sometimes it feels that no good deed goes unpunished. I'm still building the garage...maybe just a mote and gate, no shock device.

    Deep end, about to leap

Yeah, the bidet is a revenge facility. We lived overseas for a few years....she loved it. I like the idea that they can't get to it. Building will be 40x45 and hold an RV, sailboat, lift shop area and a place for me.

    Deep end, about to leap

No sympathetic voices at all?...maybe I should resort the wonderful world of psycho-pharmacology. My co-pay for Xanex might well cheaper than building an escape bunker...I guess it does sound like a bunker. But no way my tools would either vanish or at the very least, be scattered all over the pace.

    Deep end, about to leap

Morton building, concrete perma columns, 6" slab with 3' on center rebar, 14' ceilings, 200 amp panel, Mohawk lift, Ingersoll-Rand 5hp compressor, "man centered efficiency apartment", 350 or so sq feet, separate shower and bath, bidet, radiant floor heat, geothermal system. Ultra insulation with...

Finally wired up my IR 5hp Compressor

So I've had this compressor since the holidays but haven't had a chance to wire it up and try it out. It puts out 18.1 CFM at 90PSI. I was stunned at how quiet this thing is and how fast it filled up the 60 gallon tank from zero to 140 PSI. I realize that my previous compressor was a Harbor...

What are the best wheel dollies to buy?

Due to numerous family catastrophic driving practices, I find myself in need of some wheel dollies due to a broken tie rod on one vehicle and frozen rear disks on another... I looked at Harbor freight and the only one that even remotely impressed me was 1250 Lb. Capacity Mechanical Wheel Dolly...

I want to live in my new garage!

Yeah, really....my current garage is attached so there must be some way to seal it off from the living area. I'm not an architect nor civil engineer. I'm just a computer engineer who can't leave reality alone. Computers are not real. I know how much space I need. I know how much height I...

I want to live in my new garage!

Yes, I too was shocked when I found out that a bidet was a parts washer for people parts and not car parts. The garage would be at the back of the property, about 100 yards and she or someone, mows the lawn. She would notice the building eventually. So I can't hide the entire garage but I could...

I want to live in my new garage!

Ok, so I'm researching a Morton building using perma-columns, 6" rebar floor, as steep a pitched roof as I can afford (I think it looks better). Now my secret plans. The building needs to be about 45x45 with 14' ceilings for the lift. I'll heavily insulate and use OSB for the garage portion...

So how high does the ceiling have to be?

Ok, slightly confused...go figure. How high does the ceiling have to be to accommodate a full size lift and a full size truck?

Real price difference between Morton and others

I keep hearing that Morton are great buildings but the price will cause a coronary occlusion. Is there a number we're talking about? Is it twice as much per sq ft as it's competitors? Assuming all options equal? I know this may b a really tough question to answer.
