    Home Depot Clearance Thread 2015

I'm 6'3" so I should get 12' to my head... probably a bit wobbly so I would think 10' for the average guy is easily doable. They are also skinny enough to wheel in and out of regular house doors. Good tip on bolting, I figured you could also add a lower cross brace if you use it at max...

Best air compressor for home shop

budget? go big or go home with those tasks... Plus a good drying system if you plan to paint. Don't waste your time with any craftsman basic little compressor... 240volt for sure, 60 gallon, 12-15CFM maybe? Dual stage if you have deeper pockets...

    Quiet alternatives to mini-split?

agreed, I added a minisplit to my new master suite addition and love it. Quiet, efficient and didn't affect my current system. go with a window air conditioner and a space heater when guest show up... Other than that I'd install it myself and then have an HVAC guy charge it, no that hard...

    The 1,000 footer - 28x36 (35.5) pole barn/garage build

good advice... I'm thinking R13 in the walls and R30+ blown-in for the ceiling with metal panels. Now I just need $2K to complete!:shocking: Probably just hold off, run the electric down the poles in metal piping then it will be easy to finish the later walls no matter when I do it.

I'm trying to find inuslation options that I can afford. Morton uses 8 foot wide insulation blankets and some guys have had luck purchasing direct form them. I Just called my local Morton office in Gettysburg, PA. They don't sell individual items, like insulation, since it's...

Bullnerds 30 x40 pole building in NJ.

Just called my local Morton office in Gettysburg, PA. They don't sell individual items, like insulation, since it's counterproductive to their business model. I guess no business is better than some business.

    DIY 26'x40' detached build

find a local HVAC guy that will keep your number handy if he does a full replacement of a decent unit. Probably pick up the equipment for $500 or so and pay him to install it. Or a mobile home furnace... It's colder up here so I plan on a hanging shop furnace since I have natural gas.

    Lowe's Clearance Thread 2014

Not a sale but good score for me... Went to Lowes and picked these up... GFCI, 20amp, for 60% off because the box was missing. I get 10% off for military. Couple questions for the group: How many outlets can these protect? I'm using yellow romex but my outlets say 15 amp, can I still run...
