    Cman clutch -head screwdrivers

Thank God for this site or I would never know what this driver was used for. I just found a third one from my scrounging. It's a SO ssdc-8 but with an older handle than the one in the pic. I don't know if I will ever find a use for these, but I hope to some day. Maybe it's a good excuse to buy...

flare nut wrenches for brakes lines (?)

X2 what they said. I bought both sets sae and metric 12 years ago, because Michigan is not nice to older cars and I got tired of struggling with out them. One of those if you need them you really need them.

    First Tool Buy...

If it were me this is the one I would pick up, especially if it is still USA made. Then add the screwdriver set you posted. This will get you a good start on working on your truck. You can't beat $149 for a 255 piece set. Do the math, less than a dollar a tool. I can only how much that stuff...

Anyone have good luck with HF Socket Trays?

I got them and love them, also picked up the composite ratchet while I was there and love that too. You can't complain about the price either. I guess I'm due to go out and buy some USA stuff to off put my sins.:)

    Flex shaft grinder

Foredom is the name in these tools that you want to look up. I think they have the market cornered. If you want to know if this type of tool is for you without dropping a lot of coin, then check this one out from Harbor Fright...

You took the words right out of my mouth, but damn that thing sure is cool. Definitely a manly mans tool. Good for taking your own skin off.:lol_hitti

Are they any good? I have an opportunity to pick some up, but if they aren't any good I will pass. Thanks

    Flare Wrenches

I've got the Craftsman raised panel USA made. The only times I have used them is when nothing else will work, mostly brake and hydraulic lines. They have served me well in the fifteen years I have owned them, but I have only used them about ten times in fifteen years. If I were to buy a set now...

    things people do to tools.

Bottom line is, my tools are my tools and I treat them how I want to treat them. I do my best to take good care of them, but things happen sometimes or a corner is cut due to a precarious position where it's just not that easy to get to the right tool without some serious gymnastics. In these...

    it's 2013 garage sale season!...

I give up. Can someone clue me in as to what AT-RT is? I don't think I can go on living knowing there is something out there that I might want and I don't even know what it is.

    Huot tool chest

Is that a SO top box? If so you really ****. I looked at that thing several times on CL, but just didn't pull the trigger. I think you did very good.

    Show your new tool arrivals

Ha ha, I have that little red Fleet/Proto set. I bought a Porsche/VW 914 parts car and it was in one of the trunks. Pretty cool and it's mint. Your Grandpa sounds like a really cool guy.

    Worst tool ever produced?

I own both sizes of that red handled adjustable deal. I got one as a gift along with the Robo grips and the funny shaped quick open end wrenches. Kind of like receiving a whole bag of poo for Christmas. Well, I owned a 1938 Allis Chalmers WC and needed to take off the lug nuts. I was at Sears...

    Worst tool ever produced?

I bought one of these on clearance at Meijer for $7 out of curiosity. It came as a set with a ratchet and extension. What a piece of ****. The pins feel really weak and do not push in very far. It looked like a good idea and is made in the US so I wanted it to work, but nope. Funny side note, I...

Matco Made by Idea promo thoughts

I know a guy that developed a tool, got a patent on it, then went to SO who did not want to buy it. So the took the idea and produced it off shore. Leaving him high and dry.

Tools at the Indy 500, Part 2

Yeah, that little white box is super cool. I would love to see how they attached the tool fasteners on the lid. Did you get close enough to it to see how they attached them. What a cool way of making use of otherwise wasted space.

    Tools made in Michigan?

The MIT tools that I've seen have a coo of China. Too bad. I wonder if they have an office in Michigan or maybe just a marketing ploy.
