    Chas parker #102

Should I jump on this for $50? I know just enough about vices to get me in trouble, so not sure. Any advice? https://cedarrapids.craigslist.org/tls/d/cedar-rapids-bench-vise-chase-parker/7091859982.html

Old hex drive u joints and deep well sockets

Cane across these in a lot from an auction a few weeks ago. Cant find any references for who might have made these unique items. The socket pictured came connected to the joint its next to. Note the different style swivel mechs... one has square style, one more traditional. Only marking I can...

Craftsman circle k, other than 3/4 drive

I came across this half drive universal swivel with the SK, circle k marking. What other tools does sk make for craftsman other than 3/4 drives? Theres no 4 or 5 digit codes on it, so I assume it's from the 60's or earlier?

    Pep boys set

Found this little set in a box at an auction. Almost complete pep boys set. Decent shape, just well used n never cleaned up. Made in japan, all labeled pep boys and japan except the 1/4" sockets, those just have chro-van and japan on them. I'll probably clean em up when I get extra time n try n...

    Which brand tray?

Anyone recognize what brand or which style toolbox this might go to? Looks too well done to be a home made, but not entirely out of the question. I pick these up whenever I see them for a good price in case I see a box without it.

    January farm sale scores!

Well, what do a ice storm, 20 degree weather, and an iowa farm sale equal?? Low number of vintage tool fans at the sale! Really dont want to seem like gloating, but these are the once or twice a year sales where I dont have much competition for certain things, and I'm pumped to have gotten a...

What brand of box is this one?

I've seen quite a few, but this ones baffling me. At the restore with a different brand bottom for $100. Looks like George made it his own brand and painted the circle white. By the way, I was able to talk them into selling me just the craftsman box ad pictured in the top. Score!

    BF tool maker

Have we ever come up with the "BF" tool maker? I've got these 2 wrenches labeled craftsman, and this cutter with "BF" japan on one side and a 30813, 5 digit code similar to craftsman. I've come across all kinds of different BF japan tools, but cant remember seeing any other mfg names on them...

    Belsaw machinery

This just popped up on local craigslist. Anyone familiar with belsaw? Call me crazy, but looks to be same maker as the craftsman block grinders? Has a cool oscillating grind table to make some pretty accurate angles!

    Craftsman orange handle pick

Been doin some searching on this find, and cant find any comparisons. Has anyone else come across a driver or set like this? Appears to have the "P" in circle and no 5 digit code if that helps. No other real designation on it.

    Auction score!!

Today's rainy farm auction bagged me this score!! Only 1 other person bid, and dont think anyone realized that the stand was worth 3 times what the grinder is. Bonus is the quench cup and it purrs like a kitten. PS.....$40!!!

    Hmmm, any ideas?

Guy at local flea this morning had this setup we couldn't identify. 3 tool collectors and we had never seen anything like this. The tube they're in isn't original to the tools, but here's what I have for info. No patent, but the "E" in the diamond, and theres a different 5 digit number on each...

Custom tablesaw, hand made or bought?

Did a farmstead cleanout and came across this very cool old tablesaw. Has anyone ever seen one sold like this, or do you think it's a custom home made? Either way, I cant see it pitched, pretty sure its gonna get just a small amount of clean/modification and become my living room coffee table.

    Atlas equipment catalog 1949-1950

Lucky enough to spot this on the shelf at the local flea. One of the vendors that usually doesn't have much for tools, but fun guy to BS with. Great shape with original shop mailing label still intact. Technically not a tool, but cool reference material for $2!

    Billmont #500 mechanics kit

I might have just stumbled on a pretty challenging quest. Online only auction got me about 10 craftsman wrenches in a indistinguishable old black metal box. Once I got to pick it up, I found that the real gem was this billmont mechanics kit box. #500 kit. Motor age ad from the 1920's says it...

    Craftsman permanex 1/4" set find

Second find at the ol restore. Plastic case threw me again, but for $5, got a steal!! All =v= marked tools, except for the little snap on extension I already removed to match with the snap on collection. Pre quick release button style ratchet too! Is this possibly what is considered an...

Craftsman 18 piece 3/8 driver set find

One of 2 good finds at the local habitat restore today. Cant find much info on this one online. Plastic case decieved me, thought it was too new. However, once I opened it, the pieces that were in it were all =v= with no 5 digit code. That puts it in the 50's-60's, right? It had the sockets...

    Blank wrench find

Anyone help ID this DBE wrench I found? Looks a lot like craftsman, but one side of the raised panels seems to be blank. Its worn a bit, but not worn enough to have erased MFG engraving. Theres a number 4 in the casting on that side, but panels blank.

    Good deal estate finds?

I'm happy to have my first heritage top chest. Havent cleaned it out yet, but what do u all think, good deal? $40 for box and another $20 for some random usa made extras. I think I missed the red carry around tote, might go back tomorrow for it.

    Craftsman flea finds

I've got a couple 43784 ratchets, but none like this yet. Might have a rebuild kit done already, not sure, but appears to have a non chrome, long style reversing lever and -v- patent pending mark. Anyone else see this one? Better find, I think, is what appears to be a 8 inch chain tool with the...
