    Best retractable airline stop collar?

I’m so tired on having to reset the collar every week. Is there a hose collar - bought or shop made, that won’t move when shop hands let the hose slam into the reel?

Replacement swivel pad for old Pony F clamp.

I’m looking for a replacement swivel pad for this old Pony Jorgensen F clamp. A coworker recently lost it. The ball size is 9/32”. I’ve looked on McMaster but they don’t have one that small.

Bit driver handles with spinner caps

A coworker is dedicated to using a bit driver handle with spinner cap. His workhorse is starting to wear out, so I tried to get him a replacement from McMaster, but the new one has an aluminum shaft. Does anyone recognize his old one and know who may have made it?

    Carpet knives and blades

So I’m a lead carpenter for a company that does live events. While we typically outsource our carpet instillation sometimes I have to go back and fix or change the carpeting after installers are gone, usually when it’s the way of my scenic units. What are consider the “top line” in carpet...

Who makes a good stiff corn broom?

Like the title says. I want a good stiff corn broom. Even the “stiff” brooms at ACE are pretty flexible and not like the ones my parents had when I was a kid.

    1-15/32 open end wrench?

I’m moving a three axis CNC table and it has some odd sizes on its leveling feet. The hex on the foot pad itself is measuring at 1-3/8” , but the locknut is coming in consistently at 1-59/128, so 1-15/32”. Is this a wrench size available anywhere? The rest of the machine has standard hardware...

    Harry J. Epstein Day 2024

Just realized we’re about two months out from HJE Day 2024 and there’s no thread yet! It'll be hard to beat last year when I won those drill bits but I’ll still spend too much many anyway I’m sure. I hope we get more construction cat swag this year, the artwork (and the prayer candle) was a...

    Vintage Staplex electric stapler.

Buddy of mine picked this up yesterday for $5. It’s the most intense electric stapler I’ve ever seen, and its foot pedal operated. I love how artistic and excessive the cast housing is, but I also like find it t amusing that inside it’s just a normal stapler with a big solenoid sitting above it...

A “standard” set of Metric drill bits?

If a standard fractional set of drill bits is 1/16” - 1/2” by the 64th, what is the typical metric equivalent? How are metric bits typically graduated?

    Star Hamrtwist?

Sorting through a toolbox full of drill bits I put together a decent collection of these. Apparently it’s a masonry drill system with removable/replaceable bits. Anybody into these? Any worth?

Square male pipe plugs in standard drive sizes

Square male pipe plug sockets in standard drive sizes Do you use square male pipe plug sockets that equal standard drive sizes like 3/8” or 1/2”? Is there an appreciable difference? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    "modern" Billings wrenches

Stumbled across these last night. I'm always a sucker for artisanal hand tools, so I'm sure I'll buy one of these eventually. https://www.handtoolrescue.com/collections/all

    Walden 3028 7/8” Spintite

Just came in the mail. I’d never seen such a huge nut drifter before and I had to have it. The shaft is subtlety necked down to fit the handle. The handle also has the telltale sign of a Channellock applied for increased leverage. I do also have an 11/16” spintite, and I missed out on a 3/4”...

    NOS Adjustable Clamp Co.

Check these out! Picked them up today at Kitts Industrial Tools in Michigan. I never know what I’ll find when I go in there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Dead blow exploded.

Well, got a solid 5 years out of this 22oz slimline. Picked it up in 2014 on Epstein’s day. Garland branded but sure looks like a Trusty-Cook. Who knows when it was actually made. I was smacking some wood into place when suddenly pieces went flying. Interesting, the internal canister was cast in...

    Enderes quality

I needed a new 3/8” shaft center punch so I thought I’d try Enderes this time. The Wilde I’ve been using has held up well but the mushrooming is becoming too much. So I grabbed a few off eBay and when they showed up I was not impressed. Clearly ground freehand, very uneven and off center. Is...

    Channellock dropping models

Just perusing the channellock website, most of their slip joint pliers are no longer listed: 546 548 5410 516 and 537. The 548’s were personal favorites of mine. They also seem to have fewer Linesman models than they once did but that is less surprising to me. I don’t know many people buying...

    Liberty Tool Co Visit !!

Last weekend I took my first-ever trip to Maine, so naturally I made sure to make time to visit Liberty Tool Co & the Hulls Cove Tool Barns. I was absolutely overwhelmed in the best way. These shops are amazing. I wish I’d taken more pictures but I was too busy picking. Sent from my...
