11' 6" all finished. 3 Walls are stuccoed CMU and 1 is sheetrock. Ceilings are sheetrock.
No wonder you can't see anything in there. How big is the space?
You're seeking aesthetically pleasing LED fixtures with good light output, thus budget comes into play. Are you seeking the lowest cost option? (no point in me suggesting a $150 fixture if $50 per fixture is the limit).
At closer look, I have no recommendation other than increase your budget or give up on LED.
$1350 for LED wrap or $1100 open tube LED.
Empty wrap enclosure $21.94 here: https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/154481/PQL-55029.html
LED Lamps @ $12.99 ea. (must be purchased in 30 piece qty.s) here:
http://www.shineretrofits.com/james...luminum-housing-internal-driver-100-277v.html
Thus $47.90 per 2 lamp 1 wrap housing fixture = 5280 total lamp lumens, minus ~10% reduction for wrap lens = 4750 total lumens out of fixture.
No, clear will look terrible, even in a wrap (unless you really miss the psychedelic 60's). Stay with frosted lens. The only possible exception is if the wrap has a milky white lens (which the one I linked to doesn't).Excellent; thanks. I assume with a wrap enclosure you would order the clear LEDs and not the frosted?
Apparently 1000bulbs dot com is ****** people on shipping, so I have to retract my suggested housing. You'll have to do your own research for best value, but 1000bulbs dot com certainly isn't it.
Excellent! Well done.Per the other light fixture thread and just posting here for posterity:

Much better shipping costs.
I have been trying to learn this program as well. How did you make a non-rectangular building?
I don't know what shineretrofits.com normally charges for shipping, but right now through the end of Oct. they have free shipping. Their product pictures aren't always accurate, so pay attention to the description - not the picture - and/or confirm the housing part number at the manufacturers website. Anyway here's a link with a few strip light housing options:

2 wiring diagram options.
Option 1 uses more connectors.
Option 2 uses some wire connection holes from lampholders.
Strip all wires between 3/8" to 1/2".
All wire connections should have slack.
A few extra inches of wire is good.
Coiling lots of extra wire into the fixture is bad = more RFI.

Yes - I would absolutely put lights above the garage door.
roadrunner - do you have a drawing the shows where the purlins are located?
P-Solid,
Hate to do this 'cause i know you probably get "Will this work in my garage..." questions all day.
My garage:
- Plain Vanilla suburbia 2 car garage, 24WX21D
- 9' ceilings
- white popcorn ceiling
- beige latex paint on all walls
- No work areas; no recessed areas or closets. Pretty much a perfect square.
Current setup:
- garage opener light and one 4' 4 bulb T12 from when house was built.
Will the following set up work:
1) MaxLite Lamp Ready Linear Utility Strip, 4 Foot
http://www.ledlightingwholesaleinc....ady-Linear-Utility-Strip-p/lss2xt8use4803.htm
2) 8W - 2160 lumens - 4ft DLC LED T8 Tube - 5000K - Bypass Ballast - James ZY-T8-18W1200-BINS-50K
http://www.beeslighting.com/product-p/zy-t8-18w1200-bins-50k.htm
I know you posted these as a recommended setup. Just don't know how many to order.
Thank you very much for helping out the forum.
shellback,
What are you planning on doing in the garage? Just parking cars and unloading groceries or are you planning on doing precision woodworking?

I have vaulted ceilings in the area I want to use these. 15ft peak and 8ft at the side walls. All white, and white floor. 8ft between the trusses, I was going to surface mount them centered on the ceiling between the trusses, mounted end to end from peak to wall.
Thanks.
