I have a Shop King vise with no base. It has 2 mounting holes, and a center, non- threaded hole in the base Any idea what base would fit this vise? All the ones on GJ have threaded center holes and a single hole for a hold down. Thanks.

One has to go! Colombian 504-1/2, 4-1/2" jaws, weighs 44lbs, fixed base, vs. Babco, made in Japan, 6" jaws, weighs about 60lbs, rotating base with lockout. Babco is in better shape- has seen less action and abuse, but the Colombian was probably a more solid vise when new. So...which would you keep?

Recently got an old (relatively old) dp off cl, and need to remove the front pulley to access the top compartment. The nut is reverse threaded and comes off easily. Then what? Is the pulley threaded onto its shaft, or does it lift out on the shaft? I tried both of these, using gently force, but...

After using wd40 and some heat, i managed to remove the screws holding the front jaw in place, but I can't remove the jaw. I've tried tapping with a hammer, solid hits with a 3lb hand sledge, heat, and some prying. I don't want to break anything, as the vise works fine as-is. Any suggestions?
