Am I missing anything for bare minimum electrical for my new garage?

My area requires all outlets to be GFCI (even if on the ceiling as I found out in a failed inspection), and at least 18" above floor so that low-lying combustible fumes won't somehow self-ignite.

    Above 1200 Sq/FT BoostingAZ's Garage & Woodshop

Hi BoostingAZ . Fellow Arizonan here, NE Tucson. Been following you for a while. Genuine question why you'd move out of hot but dry AZ for humid as hell Indiana? Been in both places and would much rather live west than east. If not too personal, why did you move? What's the left side of...

Is there a company that makes quality outdoor sconces?

    Insane prices for additional concrete

I recently built a 24' X 44' detached garage. Garage door was to be 8' high. Got concrete floor work estimated at that. 4" pour. Changed my mind and went with 10' garage door. That change forced a change in the rebar work (to what they called an "engineered footer") and a 5" pour, and...

Any time I put a vehicle on jack stands, I always give the vehicle a good strong shake to verify the lift. Also, use in pairs only.

Anyone seen these tool/product chests before.

I picked up two steel chests of drawers from an estate sale recently. Sanded down the backs and sides and repainted them. They had Bausch & Lomb property tags on them, so I guessing they were for eye wear shops for the various lenses and frames. Size 19" wide X 25" X 50" high, on caster...

Vintage optics--'70s and earlier. Microscopes, Telescopes, Binos, etc--If it has lenses and is fifty years old or older, post it!

My dad bought a pair of Nippon Kogaku (which became Nikon) binoculars in Japan when he was stationed there +- 1956. According to the web, they are a very good pair. I still use them when I want to be nosy in my neighborhood. LOL

Help with pool heater low frequency rumble

I live in Tucson, and low humidity and desert climate / flora creates conditions that sometime cause sound to travel quite far. And the lower the frequency the further it can travel. (See pic below). House with X marked on it installed what I am guessing is a heat-pump type pool heater. The...

    Sub Panel Ground Question

What are the different functions of the two grounds? If all the grounds are ultimately bonded together ( as in post #3 pictures in the sticky thread referenced earlier), what are the different purposes? Not arguing, just want to learn.
