    HF Fuel Transfer Pump

Are these HF furl transfer pumps "reasonably" decent ? I just want one that will last more than a dozen uses !

If you get logged off before you actually "post" a new thread/reply, is it stored somewhere so I don't have to re-type the whole thing ?

    Electric Chainsaw "clutch"

Its a Craftsman, from the 80s, but no parts are available, which is why I am posting here. The clutch (using that term very weakly) is just 2 steel plates. They are held together by nut and a Belleville washer (spring washer). I have added extra Belleville washers, but it did not help. It...

    Electric Motors

I am just interested in your basic single phase, induction motor. What is typically found on stationary power tools like drill presses, table saws and compressors. How do manufacturers "get away with" rating motors at ridiculously high HP My shop vac is rated at 7.5 HP but it is clearly much...

    16 AWG NM-b or conduit with 16 AWG THHN/THWN-2

Has anyone actually installed any of this ? Clearly, you must use a 10A CB. What does the NEC have to say about 16AWG wiring ?

    Crimpers

I know this topic has come up before, but let's beat it to death one more time ! I have TOO MANY different crimpers. What I would like is a ratcheting crimper, probably with interchangeable jaws, that can crimp typical insulated and uninsulated terminals in the wire range of 12AWG to 22AWG...

    Travel Trailer flooring

I don't want to use any kind of wood based flooring because it will rot if it gets wet. Honeycomb polypropylene or extruded polystyrene (Owens Corning Foamular 400). In both cases, I know I will probably have to use 1" thick (or doubled 1/2" thick) sheets. I would like to use 1.5" - 2" steel...

    Used compressor

Looking at a used compressor. This is 30+ years old. Likely not used much, but probably stored outside. Pretty certain is does NOT have the original motor, but that is a minor issue. Is there any way, short of a true "pressure test", to know the condition of the tank ? (I guess it I open...

Recommend a GOOD hand held airless sprayer

I don't need or want an airless sprayer that can handle 1 - 5 gallon buckets ! It has to spray (thinned) latex. I also want to keep the cost down, preferably under $300. Most of the videos I have seen, show handheld airless sprayer constantly spitting blobs of paint that have to be smoothed...

    Better than T1-11

I want to build a shed. 4x8 foot print. Lean-to roof, 7' high side, down to 6'. It will be built on a 1x6 floor about 12" off the ground, so ground contact and drainage are not an issue. Looking for 4'x8' panels that will outlast typical T1-11. Pre-painted is a bonus ! 3/8" LP SmartSide...

Tools you bought just because, "Some day, I might need that !"

And recently, I did ! I bought a Hi-Lift jack (aka "farm jack") a couple of years ago, just because. Saved my and my son's back pulling out concreted in fence posts ! Also bought HF tow/haul straps. Worked great with the farm jack and the truck. I had to go back to HF and buy the receiver...

    Hmmm ....

This is a brand new Diablo 3/4" auger bit. For those mathematically challenged, 3/4 is 96/128 !

    Coil spring compressor

My daughter need new struts on her 2019 Ford Expedition. Yes, those are MASSIVE COIL SPRINGS on those struts ! Shop want $40/strut to swap them over ($160). Are there any coil spring compressors for a DIYer than can handle big coil springs without putting your life in danger ?

    Small engine compression tester adapter

So a couple of months ago I did the "buy once, cry once" and bough the Mityvac MV5530 Compression Tester Kit. Lots of adapters ! But wouldn't you know, not one for this teeny, tiny spark plug out of a Craftsman 32cc backpack blower ! No brand on the plug but the number is 794-00082. It...

    Lawn mower/snow blower lift

I enjoy working on small gasoline powered outdoor equipment. But I hate having to be bent over to work on them ! Is there an inexpensive way to get them off the ground and up to (temporary) bench height. I can "dead lift" them, but getting the up to bench height is another story !
