I have looked on Craigslist for a DP but have found nothing and am still looking. I would use it infrequently but I don't want a 5 speed as I may wish to drill steel and that's not so hot. I wouldn't mind a filthy old one but I don't want to take it to a machine shop to straighten anything...

I was reading the amps on a craftsman was 3.2 but the cord was 18ga. This seems extremely small .What I removed it and replaced with 12 ga. Would that help?...Thanks Dave

My father in law left me a beautiful router cabinet with a jointech fence and I mean first class my only question in beside the fence and dole for the router there is no track.for cutting across. Any sugggestions? Thanks Dave

My shop may not have power for a 9 amp 110 drill press, but I have 220 receptacle within 10 feet. Question...If I plug in a 220 to 110 transformer in the receptacle and 110 to that will that have the hp.to run it? my 110 is too far away 80' of extension cord.:dunno:

My drill press MAY NOT be getting the volts it needs to run. Its plugged in to an extension cord, and I need to know its getting power for its 9 amps as it kicks off on occasion. I don't know much about how to use meters but am very careful

I have a base I made for my tablesaw a while ago, but I made it straight no taper. I'm going to make another as this one is rocking. Does anyone know how much wider the base should be than the saw for stability? Thanks all. Dave

I have an extension cord running 100' from garage to shop. It's 3 wire 12 gauge. Now if I tie in to the garage with 12 ga. hardwire and run that to my shop the distance will be the same but no extension cord. Is that any better?
